Behind-The-Wheel Only Program

Driv Rite offers a Behind-The-Wheel-Only Program for older teens and adults who do not want to take the formal driver education program. Older teens and adults would need to acquire a learner permit by passing the standard vision screening test as well as a written knowledge test over the manual (log on to  www.in.gov/bmv/ for learner permit eligibility).

Once you have held your learners permit for at least 6 months, you may take your drive test at Driv Rite (rather than at the BMV).
